Emergency tree surgeon in Bolton
High winds and heavy storms regularly bring trees and large branches down across Bolton and Bury. If a tree has fallen onto a house, garage, car, fence or road — or is split and hanging dangerously — call Simon straight away on 07786 433386.
What to do if a tree comes down
- Keep everyone away from the tree and anything it is resting on.
- If it’s touching power lines, don’t go near it. Call the electricity emergency number 105.
- If it’s blocking a road and is an immediate danger, call 999.
- Take photos for your insurance company.
- Call us — we’ll make it safe, remove it and clear up.
Making it safe, then putting it right
Our first job is to make the situation safe — removing the hanging or fallen sections in a controlled way so no further damage is done. Then we clear everything away. After one storm a tree came down on a family’s decking and was resting against the house; we removed the tree, ground out the stump and took out the root system, leaving the garden clear.
Dealing with insurers
We can provide photos and a written description of the work to support your home insurance claim.
Prevention is cheaper than a call-out
Many storm failures can be predicted: dead branches, cracks, fungus at the base or a tree that has started to lean. If you’re worried about a tree before winter, ask us to take a look — a crown reduction or deadwooding now can save a lot of damage later.
